Associate Lawyer

We are seeking a Labour & Employment Associate to join a busy plaintiff-side litigation practice in British Columbia, offering flexible remote work arrangements and strong exposure to employment litigation matters. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated litigator with civil litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will work on employment-related disputes while collaborating with a respected litigation team across multiple provinces.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment and civil litigation files from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, motion materials, and legal documents
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members
• Attend mediations, negotiations, and court proceedings as required
• Maintain organized files and ensure deadlines are met
• Deliver responsive and client-focused legal service
  
  

Qualifications

• LL.B. or equivalent degree
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
• Minimum 2+ years of civil litigation experience
• Employment law experience preferred
• Plaintiff-side and contingency fee experience considered a strong asset
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage urgent deadlines
