Summary of the role
As an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer (Functional Application testing) you will be a key member of the DCS Flight Management team. Working predominantly in Agile environment, you will be working closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met to the right quality standards.
- Work within defined processes or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. Take a broad perspective to problems and identify new, less obvious solutions.
- Receive instructions and guidance from manager or supervisor and perform moderately complex and varied tasks with a moderate degree of supervision.
- May have specialized external certification and/or job-related training and work experience.
In this role you’ll
- Responsible for delivery of quality aspects of projects & initiatives
- Implement test strategy
- Create, review, maintain and perform all functional tests through a Master Test Plan
- Define test cases from customer’s requirements and ensure traceability with specifications.
- Coordinate with Product Managers and other stake holders for the assessment of requirements and create functional tests which cover the functionality
- Foresee/forecast risks, gaps, and impact
- Be part of regression team and work on execution of tests using the test frameworks, monitor the test results and perform reporting for execution
- Write test plan (functional and/or non-functional and/or non-regression).
- Ensure improvement of non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan.
- Design and develop test cases and scripts, as needed.
- Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases.
- Be accountable for the project, product or release quality control.
- Provide information to developers in order to fix defects
- Validate defect fixes and provide internal sign-off for production
- Document software defects.
- Participate in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements.
- Report and communicate on test activities to the line organization, software developers and product definitions analysts.
- Interface and communicate with the stakeholders
- Ensure delivery without gaps
- Maintain good interpersonal relations with stakeholders
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with Business Analysts and other QA colleagues cross-teams.
About the ideal candidate
- 3-5 years of experience working as Quality Assurance Engineer
- Test Automation experience: Robot, Playwright
- Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
- Experience in different types of functional and API testing
- Knowledge of data driven testing, experience with SQL
- Nice to have:
- Exposure to automation testing using Robot, Playwright
- Exposure to programming language such as Java, Python or JavaScript
- Performance Testing knowledge
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of travel industry is a plus
- API Testing is a plus
- Agile methodology practitioner
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Functional, regression testing, Data driven testing
- English communication B2 or higher
