Associate Software Engineer
ClerionAbout Clerion
Clerion is a first-principles rebuild of the web analytics category. Instead of dashboards full of charts you have to interpret yourself, Clerion reads your site's data and tells you - in plain English - exactly what's broken and where. Intelligence is the interface. Data is just what powers it underneath.
We've just launched, built for solo founders and SME operators who don't have a data analyst on staff. You'd be joining right after launch, working directly with the founder on a live product used by real customers - which means your decisions have immediate, visible impact.
What you'll work on
- You'll work across our Node.js/Express backend and Next frontend, picking up real features rather than isolated tickets. Depending on your strengths, that could look like:Shipping small-to-medium features end-to-end backend route, API, UI with close review from the team
- Writing and debugging queries against Supabase/Postgres as you learn how our data models support the AI insights
- Fixing bugs and rough edges in the product as they come up, with a fast feedback loop from the founder
- Pairing with more senior engineers to learn the codebase, our conventions, and how we make technical decisions
This is a role built for growth. You won't be handed a rigid spec and left alone - you'll get direction, context, and code review, and you're expected to ask questions early and often.
About you
- You've built something real and shipped it - a side project, a startup, a previous job, doesn't matter which. You're comfortable moving between frontend and backend without waiting for a ticket. You want ownership, not a queue of tasks.Bonus, if any of this is true:You've worked with React, Node.js, and Postgres/Supabase in production
- You've already used Clerion at getclerion.com and have an opinion on it
- You've worked at an early-stage startup before and know what that pace feels like
Why join Clerion
You'll work directly with the founder - no layer between an idea and it shipping. The product is live now, so what you build gets used by real people, not just reviewed internally. You'd be one of the first engineers on the team, with real ownership over what we build next.
Location
Remote. We care about the work, not the hours.
