FlowMate Talent is a Virtual Assistant training and talent-development company that prepares aspiring and growing Virtual Assistants for real client work through practical, tool-based and career-focused training.

Our programs are designed to help learners build practical skills, professional confidence, portfolio-ready work and stronger career positioning for remote opportunities.

As we prepare for our next Virtual Assistant Masterclass cohort, we are expanding our training faculty and looking for experienced professionals to join us as Associate Trainers / Subject-Matter Specialists.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting Associate Trainers in the following areas:

• Project Management & SOP Documentation
• Travel Planning & Coordination
• Lead Generation, Research & Data Management
• Career Readiness

This is a paid, remote, independent-contractor, session-based engagement.

Selected trainers will facilitate practical live virtual classes for aspiring Virtual Assistants and may have the opportunity to work with FlowMate Talent across future cohorts based on program needs, performance and student feedback.

What You Will Do

Depending on your subject area, you will:

• Facilitate engaging, beginner-friendly live virtual training sessions
• Teach practical skills based on real professional workflows
• Demonstrate relevant tools, platforms and systems
• Explain concepts clearly and translate professional experience into practical learning
• Provide examples, case studies or hands-on exercises
• Prepare or contribute to agreed lesson materials where required
• Support practical assignments or learner activities where agreed
• Maintain professional and respectful engagement with students
• Follow the FlowMate Talent curriculum, training standards and class structure
• Participate in brief planning or coordination discussions before your scheduled session
  

Subject AreasProject Management & SOP Documentation

You should be confident teaching areas such as:

Project coordination, task management, workflow organisation, deadline tracking, project-management tools, progress reporting and Standard Operating Procedure documentation.

Experience using tools such as Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Notion or similar platforms is an advantage.

Travel Planning & Coordination

You should have practical experience in areas such as:

Travel research, flight and accommodation comparison, itinerary preparation, booking coordination, travel documentation, schedule management, executive travel support and handling travel changes.

Lead Generation, Research & Data Management

You should be able to teach practical workflows such as:

Prospect research, lead generation, LinkedIn research, lead qualification, online research, data collection, data entry, spreadsheet organisation, database management and maintaining data accuracy.

Career Readiness

You should have strong knowledge and practical experience in areas such as:

CV and career-document development, personal branding, LinkedIn optimization, Upwork profile development, proposal writing, job-search strategy, interview preparation and professional positioning for remote opportunities.

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need to currently hold the title of “Coach” or “Trainer” to apply.

We are primarily looking for professionals who:

• Have strong real-world experience in the subject area they are applying to teach
• Understand the tools and workflows used professionally in that area
• Can explain concepts clearly to beginners
• Can teach practical skills rather than theory alone
• Communicate professionally and confidently
• Are comfortable facilitating live virtual classes
• Understand remote work and Virtual Assistant responsibilities
• Can create an engaging and supportive learning environment

Previous training, facilitation, mentoring or coaching experience is an advantage, but demonstrated teaching ability is more important than holding a coaching title or certification.

Teaching Demonstration

As part of the application process, applicants must submit a 7–10 minutes teaching demonstration on one topic related to the subject area they are applying for.

Assume you are teaching aspiring Virtual Assistants who may have little or no previous experience.

You may use slides, screen sharing, tool demonstrations, practical examples or another appropriate teaching method.

We are assessing both:

What you know and how effectively you can teach what you know.

Engagement Details

Workplace: Remote

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor / Session-Based

Class Format: Live Virtual Training

Typical Session Duration: Approximately 2 hours

Typical Class Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM EAT

Compensation: Paid per agreed training session

Location: Kenya, with suitable applicants from other African countries also welcome

Successful trainers may be considered for additional sessions and future FlowMate Talent cohorts.

• Confirmation of whether the quoted fee includes preparation and training materials
• Availability for evening virtual classes

Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview before final selection.

This opportunity is an independent-contractor training engagement and does not constitute a permanent or full-time employment position.

Selection will be based on relevant professional experience, teaching ability, communication, practical knowledge, availability and alignment with FlowMate Talent's training standards.
