ISMIRA Agency is hiring HOSTESS for ASTORIA GRANDE cruise ships! ASTORIA GRANDE invites Russian-speaking employees to join its team to work on a cruise ship to Turkey and Egypt with departure from Sochi to the shores of the Black, Aegean, Marmara and Mediterranean Seas. Astoria Grande visits the unique ports of the Turkish coast — Istanbul, Cesme, Amasra, Sinop, Trabzon, Ordu, Izmir, Kusadasi, and also stops at the largest port of Egypt - ancient Alexandria, and in the new season also in the beautiful ports of Greece. POSITION SUMMARY: The Hostess assists the management onboard to ensure company, divisional and ship performance objectives set forth by the company are met and/or exceeded by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities personally. Customer service-oriented role responsible for welcoming guests, checking seating assignment, and ensuring their overall dining experience is pleasant. Restaurant Hostesses are the first point of contact for guests and are expected to provide excellent customer service. Friendly and outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask. Restaurant Hostesses must also be able to handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner. Fluency in Russian is mandatory Knowledge of English - from intermediate depending on the position (knowledge of English is pre-intermediate for basic positions, fluency in both Russian and English is required for higher and administrative positions) A full package of STCW certificates and a seafarer's passport/seafarer's identity card are required. Strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Customer service and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in a constantly challenging environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Offer assistance, answer inquiries, and direct guests to their designated areas. Provide alternatives or recommendations to enhance the guest experience. Relay special requests, allergies, or other pertinent information to the appropriate personnel. Be knowledgeable about the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, and preparation methods. Promote special offerings, promotions, and upsell items to enhance the overall dining experience and increase revenue. Encourage guests to explore new menu options.
