Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating corporate and commercial contracts
• Negotiating business agreements and transactions
• Providing day-to-day outside general counsel guidance and strategic support
• Supporting the corporate legal team on assigned projects and client matters
• Building strong, long-term client relationships
• Delivering practical, business-minded legal advice with a solutions-oriented approach

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar
• A resident of Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, or Maryland
• 4+ years of experience in corporate and employment law
• An ability to meet a 1300 billable hour expectation for eligibility for raises and bonuses
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing work independently
• An excellent communicator who values collaboration and client service
• A solutions-oriented mindset with strong business judgment

Bonus Experience:

• Trademark law experience
• An existing book of business
• Additional bar licenses in DC and/or Maryland
• Experience with PracticePanther
