McGuireWoods LLP is seeking a dynamic Attorney Recruiting Coordinator to support our law student recruiting initiatives. This role, based in our Richmond, VA office, is ideal for someone passionate about early talent engagement, relationship-building, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience, with a particular focus on recruiting from law schools. As a key member of the recruiting team, you will help strengthen the firm’s presence at targeted law schools, manage a best-in-class Summer Associate Program, and create meaningful connections with future legal talent.

Responsibilities
Drive law school recruiting efforts across assigned schools and offices, supporting the firm’s strategy for attracting top law student talent.
Build and maintain strong relationships with law school career services offices, student groups, and key stakeholders to enhance the firm’s presence and reputation.
Lead coordination of the Summer Associate Program in the assigned offices, including pre-summer planning, onboarding, programming, social events, and project assignment processes—ensuring a high-quality and engaging experience.
Manage the law student interview process, delivering a seamless and positive experience for candidates and interviewers alike.
Partner with attorneys and recruiting leadership to support hiring decisions.
Support outreach and engagement initiatives such as on-campus events and networking programs.
Identify opportunities to enhance recruiting processes and programming to improve efficiency, engagement, and outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in recruiting, program coordination, event planning, or a related field.
Strong interest in law student recruiting, early talent engagement, or campus recruiting.
Experience working with law schools strongly preferred; experience in broader university recruiting or university relations is highly valued and transferable.
Proven ability to build relationships and deliver a high-touch, client-service-oriented experience.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
A proactive, collaborative approach with strong attention to detail.
Willingness to travel for law school recruiting events, programs, and firm initiatives.
Interest in using innovative AI technology, including Harvey and Copilot, to support efficient high-impact work.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and experience using applicant tracking systems or similar tools to support data tracking, reporting, and an efficient recruiting workflow.
