We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Contaminated Land Audit Assistant to join our team in Sydney. You will work directly with, and be supported by, our team of three NSW EPA accredited Auditors and six audit assistants within the larger NSW Contaminated Land Team. You will work on a range of projects across the industry for government and private sectors alongside our industry leading staff who have a proven track record of delivering high quality, strategic and commercially astute professional services to federal, state and local government entities, together with large multi-national private and public companies. Senversa employs sixteen EPA-appointed environmental auditors across six states, one of the largest teams of auditors in Australia. Senversa’s auditors have completed more than 500 environmental audits. As well as working on a wide range of audit projects, there are opportunities to be involved in contaminated land consulting work, business development, and be an active member of our committees. This role will see you involved in Undertaking technical reviews of environmental assessment reports, remediation plans, validation reports, environmental management plans, and other technical reports relating to contaminated sites. Preparation of site audit reports, site audit notifications, and interim audit advice. Conducting site inspections to observe conditions on the audit sites. Project management of a variety of audit projects, including financial planning and management, budgeting, invoicing, and communication with clients and other relevant stakeholders. Proposal and tender preparation, client meetings, and other business development. What you will bring to the team Bachelor Degree or higher in environmental science, environmental engineering, science, planning or other disciplines relevant to contaminated land assessments and remediation. 5+ years relevant experience in environmental consulting specialising in contaminated land projects. Developing technical skills in one or more of the following areas: audit support, contaminated site assessment, remediation, human health and/or ecological risk assessment, , management of asbestos in soils, hydrogeological assessment, waste / landfill management. Ability to promote Senversa nationally by assisting principal staff with business development and marketing initiatives. Methodical and detail orientated working style. Ability to meet deadlines, a self-starter and highly motivated. Strong knowledge of local, State and National environmental standards and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Full Australian working rights.
