The Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Compliance Manager to lead compliance monitoring, internal audit coordination, control assessments, regulatory reviews, corrective actions, and continuous improvement of governance and compliance processes.

The ideal candidate will oversee audit and compliance activities across business functions, identify control weaknesses, manage remediation programs, and provide management with clear visibility into compliance risks and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement audit and compliance strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Establish annual audit, compliance monitoring, and risk-assessment plans.
  • Conduct risk-based assessments of business processes, systems, controls, and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify key compliance risks and prioritize audit activities based on business impact and risk exposure.
  • Develop audit scopes, objectives, testing plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Lead internal compliance reviews, operational audits, control assessments, and targeted investigations.
  • Coordinate external audits, regulatory inspections, certification assessments, and third-party reviews.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between auditors, regulators, management, and business teams.
  • Review organizational policies, procedures, processes, and controls for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Identify control deficiencies, compliance gaps, process weaknesses, and potential risks.
  • Document audit findings with clear evidence, root causes, risk ratings, and recommended actions.
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans with responsible business owners.
  • Monitor remediation activities and ensure findings are closed within agreed timelines.
  • Validate corrective actions and confirm that identified risks have been appropriately addressed.
  • Escalate overdue, high-risk, or recurring compliance issues to senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive audit findings, compliance issues, risk registers, and remediation trackers.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements, industry standards, and changes in applicable laws.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on business processes and internal controls.
  • Coordinate implementation of new or updated compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, standards, and control frameworks.
  • Ensure business processes are aligned with applicable regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate compliance assessments across Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, Technology, Legal, Security, and other functions.
  • Review third-party and vendor compliance where required.
  • Support due diligence and compliance assessments for suppliers, partners, customers, and strategic transactions.
  • Conduct process walkthroughs and interviews with control owners and business stakeholders.
  • Analyze operational and compliance data to identify unusual patterns, control exceptions, and emerging risks.
  • Develop compliance dashboards and management reports covering audit activity, findings, risks, and remediation.
  • Establish key compliance and audit performance indicators.
  • Use data analytics and automation to improve audit testing, monitoring, reporting, and risk identification.
  • Maintain appropriate audit evidence, working papers, documentation, and records.
  • Ensure audit activities follow approved methodologies and professional standards.
  • Coordinate with internal audit, risk management, legal, compliance, finance, and external assurance teams.
  • Support management in preparing for regulatory inspections and external assessments.
  • Develop training and awareness programs covering policies, controls, compliance obligations, and audit readiness.
  • Communicate audit findings and compliance requirements clearly to employees and management.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ethical conduct, control ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct follow-up reviews to evaluate the sustainability of corrective actions.
  • Identify recurring findings and develop systemic improvements to prevent repeat issues.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and recommend enhancements.
  • Manage audit and compliance projects, resources, budgets, timelines, and external service providers.
  • Provide senior management with regular reports on compliance status, audit findings, regulatory risks, remediation progress, and improvement opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have strong experience in internal audit, compliance, risk management, regulatory affairs, governance, internal controls, or assurance, preferably within international organizations, financial services, technology, construction, real estate, energy, logistics, professional services, or other regulated environments.

The candidate should demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of internal audit, compliance, governance, and risk-management principles.
  • Experience developing risk-based audit and compliance programs.
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and control testing methodologies.
  • Experience conducting operational, financial, regulatory, or compliance audits.
  • Experience managing external audits, regulatory inspections, and certification assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory monitoring and compliance obligations.
  • Excellent audit planning, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and corrective-action capabilities.
  • Experience managing remediation programs and tracking audit findings.

  • Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is desirable.
