The opportunity

We are looking for an engaging and motivated Intermediate Auditor to join our growing Wellington audit practice. As part of our 12-person audit team, you will gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of profit and not-for-profit organisations.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys audit, builds rapport easily with clients and colleagues, and is keen to sharpen their technical capability while building a long-term career in public practice.

What you will be doing

· Plan and complete audit assignments for a diverse range of for-profit and not-for-profit clients.

· Get to know each client’s organisation, systems and financial reporting requirements.

· Prepare clear, well-supported audit documentation and help deliver consistently high-quality engagements.

· Build trusted client relationships and communicate clearly and professionally from planning through to completion.

· Collaborate closely with managers, partners and other members of the audit team.

· Keep building your technical knowledge, commercial awareness and professional judgement.

About you

· You are qualified, or close to qualifying, as a Chartered Accountant.

· You ideally bring audit experience from a chartered accounting firm or public practice environment.

· You are personable, confident and comfortable connecting with a wide range of people.

· You are enthusiastic about audit and take pride in delivering high-quality work.

· You are organised, proactive and equally effective working independently or as part of a team.
