Audit Manager

BDO Ireland LLP are looking for an ambitious, high-achieving Audit Manager seeking a new challenge in a progressive and forward-thinking Audit Department. You will be a key player in our business transformation. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across different industries. Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients. Working closely with Financial Controller/Director or Senior Executive levels in managing the audit specific requirements. Manage international reporting process both to Group Auditors and from Component Auditors Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs Lead teams on the planning; execution; and completion of audits Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients Report directly to senior manager/director on engagements Assist with managing the team’s financial performance e.g. agreeing and billing of fees; cash collections; monitoring recoverability of WIP etc Participate in the coaching, mentoring and appraisal of staff Manage and coordinate the pitch/proposals for new work Skills Knowledge and Expertise ACA or ACCA with minimum 3 years PQE Can demonstrate strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of the ISAs and accounting standards FRS100 to FRS102 and IFRS Proven management skills and behaviours A strong market/commercial awareness Understands the operational aspects of managing an audit team and be accountable for results Strong communication skills and client service ethos.
