Audit Senior

Our client, a long-established and highly respected accountancy firm in Cork, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant with at least 1 years Irish practice experience who wants to advance their audit career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage client relationships and communications, acting as the main point of contact, coordinating information requests, and agreeing project schedules and deadlines with clients.
• Plan and oversee audit engagements, including preparing planning memorandums, identifying risk areas, monitoring budgets, work in progress, and ensuring all statutory and tax filing deadlines are met.
• Lead, supervise, and review team performance, delegating work to senior and junior staff, reviewing completed work, addressing review points, and ensuring files are completed to a high standard before Partner or Manager review.
• Develop and support staff while delivering quality service, providing technical guidance and training, conducting performance reviews and assessments, identifying development needs, and recognising opportunities to introduce relevant additional services to clients.

Requirements

• Fully qualified ACCA/ ACA with strong experience leading audits (end-to-end).
• Minimum 1 year PQE audit experience within an Irish practice environment.
• Good technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles and basic tax principles.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with CaseWare (or similar audit software) is an advantage.
