An established and growing accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join its team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified accountant, or an experienced finalist, to develop their career within a supportive practice environment. You will work with a varied portfolio of SME clients, gaining continued exposure to audit, accounts preparation and tax compliance.

About the Audit and Accounts Senior Role
As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will manage a varied portfolio of client assignments and play an important role in delivering high-quality accounting services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and managing audit assignments from initial preparation through to completion.
- Carrying out audit fieldwork and resolving review points.
- Preparing statutory accounts and financial statements for SME clients.
- Managing client queries and maintaining effective communication throughout each assignment.
- Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members where required.
- Supporting the delivery of assignments within agreed deadlines.
- Taking responsibility for the quality and progress of your own client work.
Audit work and accounts preparation for small and medium-sized businesses will be a key focus of this position.
Skills and Experience Required
To be considered for this Audit Senior job in Dublin, you will ideally have:
- At least three years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
- Practical experience in external audit and accounts preparation.
- ACA, ACCA or CPA qualification, or significant progress towards professional qualification.
- The ability to manage audit assignments with appropriate support.
- Experience working with SME clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of deadlines.
Experience with accounts production and audit software would be advantageous. Training and support will be provided on the systems used by the practice.
