Audit & Controls Specialist

Role Overview

Engage in translating audit and controls work into structured training data for AI, focusing on external audit, internal audit, and SOX. Collaborate with AI labs to enhance AI reasoning in audit tasks.

$80-$120 per hour | 10-40 hrs/week | Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios from audit planning, scoping, and risk assessment.
• Conduct substantive fieldwork, sampling, and testing workpapers.
• Prepare audit reports and opinions, and manage engagement wrap-up.
• Support PBC, SOX controls documentation, walkthroughs, and testing.
• Track issues and validate remediation.
• Review AI-generated audit outputs for accuracy and professional judgment.
• Provide clear written feedback to improve AI audit performance.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team.

Core Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience in public accounting audit or internal audit/controls (SOX).
• CPA or CIA certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is necessary.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail are essential.
