About This Opportunity
CTI Staffing is partnering with a leading transportation industry organization to find an Automation / DevOps Professional Services Engineer for their technology team, based in the Fort Worth, TX area (remote-primary, periodic onsite required).
This team is modernizing how infrastructure gets built and deployed at scale, moving manual processes into automated, repeatable pipelines. You'll work directly with client stakeholders to design solutions and raise their team's automation maturity, not just execute tickets in isolation.
What You'll Do
- Design and deploy infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform and/or Bicep
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
- Implement automation frameworks that reduce manual operational overhead
- Lead cloud migration initiatives using industry-standard migration tooling
- Assess client automation maturity and help develop improvement roadmaps
- Provide technical guidance and best practices for DevOps transformation
- Document solutions and build runbooks for the client team
- Travel periodically (up to ~25%) for onsite engagement work
Requirements
What You Bring
Must-Have:
- Proficiency in Terraform and/or Bicep for infrastructure-as-code
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub Actions)
- Strong background in automation scripting and tooling
- Demonstrated experience with cloud migration projects and migration tooling
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Nice-to-Have:
- Multi-cloud experience across Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Prior professional services or client-facing consulting experience
- Experience building runbooks and documentation for client handoff
- Background in large enterprise or regulated-industry environments
Technical Environment:
- Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions

- Cloud migration tooling
What Success Looks Like:
- A documented, client-runnable automation environment within the first 3–6 months
- At least one completed migration workstream with clean handoff
- Client team measurably less dependent on manual processes
