Company Description Penovi Engineering focuses on designing and implementing advanced automation solutions that help organizations optimize their operations and stay competitive. The company embraces innovation and encourages professionals to be at the forefront of creating automation rather than being affected by it. Team members work on projects that transform traditional processes into efficient, technology-driven systems. Penovi Engineering values practical problem-solving, technical excellence, and continuous learning. The culture supports collaboration and the application of modern engineering practices to real-world challenges.

Role Description As an Automation Engineer at Penovi Engineering, you will design, develop, and maintain automation systems that improve industrial and manufacturing processes. In this full-time hybrid role based in Thessaloniki, you will spend part of your time on-site and part working from home, depending on project needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include programming and configuring automation and control systems, integrating robotics and electrical components, and monitoring system performance. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues, optimize process control parameters, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement reliable, safe, and scalable solutions. The role also involves documenting system designs, participating in testing and commissioning activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong automation and process control skills, with experience in designing, programming, and optimizing control systems.
  • Solid foundation in electrical engineering, including understanding of circuits, sensors, actuators, and industrial control hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with robotics integration, robot programming, and coordination between robotic systems and production lines.
  • Proficient troubleshooting abilities for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and system-level issues in automated environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial communication protocols, and safety standards is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams, with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek is an advantage for local coordination and client communication.
