Role Description This remote Automation Engineer contract role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions across industrial and technical environments. The Automation Engineer will develop and configure control systems, integrate robotics and automation hardware, and optimize existing processes for efficiency and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting system issues, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve process control and system performance. The role also involves documenting designs and procedures, supporting deployment activities, and ensuring solutions align with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Automation and Process Control skills for designing, configuring, and optimizing control systems.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge for integrating, wiring, and maintaining automation equipment and control panels.
• Candidates should possess Robotics and Automation integration skills, including setup, programming, and system testing.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, industrial communication protocols, or related control platforms is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to safety and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective remote collaboration skills and the ability to manage tasks independently in a contract setting.
