Automation Engineer - Ansible / PowerShell / Python

I'm seeking looking an experienced Automation Engineer to join a major technology organization in Leuven on an initial 12-month contract.

This is a hands-on role focused on developing and scaling infrastructure automation, managing Ansible Automation Platform, and improving security-related processes across a complex IT environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and optimise Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including workflows, integrations, governance and platform lifecycle management.
• Develop automation solutions using Ansible, PowerShell and Python.
• Automate certificate management, secrets management and security processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, identity and application teams to scale automation.
• Establish automation standards, document solutions and support best practices across technical teams.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or AWX, including workflows, inventories, credentials and RBAC.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• PowerShell scripting experience is essential, alongside Python.
• Experience with Windows automation, including WinRM and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, API integrations and security principles such as secrets management and least privilege.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The details:

Location: Leuven, Belgium

Duration: 12 months, with potential extension

Working arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 days per week onsite

Visa sponsorship: Not available. Applicants must already have the right to work in Belgium.
