Automation & Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Company
Media Miami is an independent performance marketing agency focused on building and scaling digital products.
Our core expertise lies in developing and growing media ecosystems for global audiences, with a strong focus on the U.S. market. We operate across key verticals, including finance, health, self-development and pet care — delivering relevant insights, practical value, and highly engaging experiences.
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Automation & Infrastructure Engineer to build, maintain, and continuously improve the technical infrastructure behind our growing digital publishing and newsletter operation.
This is not a traditional DevOps role and not a purely operational support position. We need someone who can understand a manual workflow, work through it when necessary, and then turn it into a reliable, scalable system using code, APIs, automation tools, and AI.
As the number of newsletters, domains, accounts, and operational workflows grows, your responsibility will be to reduce manual work, improve reliability, and build technical systems that allow the operation to scale without increasing headcount at the same rate.
We are looking for someone who can turn unclear operational problems into reliable technical solutions, troubleshooting unfamiliar systems independently in a fast-changing environment where not every process is documented. You will bring a strong focus on edge cases, logging, error handling, and data integrity to everything you build.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Integrations
Build and maintain automations for recurring operational workflows
Integrate internal and third-party systems using APIs, webhooks, and custom scripts
Build workflows in n8n and similar automation platforms
Develop lightweight internal tools and utilities using Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript
Integrate LLMs and AI agents into internal workflows where they provide measurable value
Infrastructure & Platforms
Configure and maintain domains and DNS records, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, TXT, and A records
Work with Cloudflare and other domain/infrastructure management tools
Work with newsletter platforms, ESPs, CRM systems, and publishing tools
Automate account creation, configuration, status tracking, and operational checks where possible
Work with databases and structured operational data
Reliability, Improvement & Collaboration
Build monitoring, alerts, validation checks, retries, and error-handling mechanisms
Troubleshoot technical issues across APIs, domains, integrations, accounts, and automation workflows
Identify repetitive manual work and propose technical solutions to eliminate or reduce it
Maintain clear technical documentation for systems and automations
Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, QA, and other internal specialists
Requirements
Must Have
1+ year of strong hands-on experience with Python, Node.js/TypeScript, or a similar backend/scripting language
Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, authentication, and third-party integrations
Experience with proxies, isolated browser environments, or large-scale account operations
Understanding of databases and ability to work with SQL
Practical experience with LLM APIs, AI agents, structured outputs, tool/function calling, or AI-powered automation
Basic infrastructure knowledge: domains, DNS, HTTP, authentication, servers, networking concepts
Nice to Have
Experience with Cloudflare, cPanel, AWS Route53, or similar tools
Experience with newsletter platforms or ESPs such as Ghost, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, etc.
Practical experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar — including automations that go beyond simple no-code workflows
CRM integration experience
Social media account creation and boosting
Experience managing large numbers of accounts, domains, or digital properties
Experience building internal admin panels, dashboards, or operational tools
Previous experience in digital publishing, affiliate marketing, e-commerce, or marketing technology
What Success Looks Like
You will not be measured by how many repetitive tasks you can perform manually. You will be successful if, over time:
Fewer workflows require manual intervention
Recurring operational tasks become automated and standardized
Technical incidents are detected earlier
New newsletters and accounts can be launched faster
Systems are documented and maintainable
The operation can scale significantly without a proportional increase in manual work
Who We're Looking For
You will probably enjoy this role if your natural reaction to a repetitive process is: “I can do this manually first, understand how it works, and then build something so we don’t have to keep doing it manually.”
We're looking for someone who:
Is a curious, pragmatic builder who takes ownership
Is comfortable moving between code, APIs, automation platforms, infrastructure, and business operations
Understands unfamiliar systems quickly, experiments, and builds reliable solutions
Solves problems independently and thinks about business impact
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Pays close attention to detail
Is eager to grow alongside the company
You do not need to know every tool we currently use. We care much more about your ability to learn fast and build things that work.
Professional Growth
International and multicultural environment
Career development opportunities
Learning resources and corporate library
Work alongside a high-performing team
Access to modern tools and technologies
Benefits
Competitive salary
Paid vacation days
Paid sick leave days
Team events and activities
Paid English courses
Multisport card
Working Environment

Complimentary snacks, drinks, and office perks
Friendly and supportive team
We look forward to meeting you!
