Automation Specialist (AI & Python) – Health & Wellness E-commerce About Us We are an Australian health and wellness company specializing in natural skincare supplements designed to address acne by targeting its underlying causes. Operating primarily through a direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce model, we develop science-backed wellness products that help customers achieve healthier skin through a holistic approach. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Automation Specialist to design, build, and optimize AI-powered workflows that streamline operations, eliminate manual work, and generate actionable business insights. You will work closely with our COO and Growth Team to develop scalable automation solutions across customer support, marketing, reporting, and other core business functions. What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows and automation systems. Develop AI agents using LLMs such as GPT, Claude, or similar models. Create reliable automations that reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Automate reporting by integrating data from multiple business platforms. Build and maintain API integrations using REST APIs and webhooks. Maintain and enhance existing Python-based automation pipelines. Identify repetitive business processes and implement automation solutions with measurable business impact. Produce clear technical documentation to ensure long-term maintainability and scalability. Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver practical automation solutions. What We're Looking For Required Skills & Experience Experience building AI-powered workflows using LLM APIs (GPT, Claude, or similar). Strong prompt engineering and structured output experience. Experience developing AI agents and automation systems. Strong Python programming skills, including: API authentication JSON processing Scheduling and background jobs Error handling and logging Experience working with REST APIs and webhook integrations. Experience with data integration and automated reporting. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams. Understanding of security best practices for API keys, customer data, and system access. Nice to Have Experience with one or more of the following: Shopify Klaviyo Gorgias Meta Ads Triple Whale Apify Slack API E-commerce and DTC operations What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days , you will: Take ownership of our existing AI automation systems. Fully automate weekly reporting across the Growth and Customer Support teams. Deliver at least one high-impact automation that saves the business significant hours each week. Improve the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our automation infrastructure.
