Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Avaloq Consultant. The Avaloq Consultant will configure, customize, and maintain Avaloq core banking solutions to meet client requirements, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance. Typical responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and implementing changes within Avaloq using best practices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting integration with upstream and downstream systems, and participating in testing, incident resolution, and release management. The consultant will also prepare documentation, provide user training or knowledge transfer, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for Avaloq-related processes and solutions.
Qualifications

• Strong Avaloq expertise, including Avaloq customization, parameterization, and scripting, with experience in core banking processes such as payments, securities, and client lifecycle.
• Solid IT and software development skills, such as SQL, Unix/Linux, and basic programming or scripting (e.g., Java, PL/SQL, Shell), to support configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Business and functional analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and translating business needs into technical solutions in a banking or financial services context.
• Testing and quality assurance skills, including test case design, system and integration testing, defect analysis, and collaboration with QA teams to ensure stable releases.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in distributed teams, explain complex concepts clearly, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; relevant Avaloq certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in wealth management or retail banking operations, and familiarity with digital transformation initiatives, cloud-based environments, and modern IT service delivery models.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
