Job Description We are looking for an experienced Mid-Senior AWS Engineer to design, implement, manage, and continuously improve AWS cloud environments supporting multiple client organizations. This role is ideal for a hands-on cloud engineering professional who can architect, deploy, troubleshoot, secure, and optimize AWS infrastructure while supporting enterprise workloads and client environments. The AWS Engineer will work closely with internal engineering teams and client stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions, resolve complex technical issues, and implement AWS best practices. This person will serve as a technical resource responsible for AWS infrastructure, cloud operations, automation, security, and ongoing platform improvements. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple client environments. Manage and support AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, and other core AWS services. Configure and maintain secure cloud environments following AWS best practices and industry standards. Perform cloud migrations, infrastructure deployments, and modernization projects. Troubleshoot complex AWS infrastructure issues involving networking, compute, storage, permissions, availability, and performance. Manage identity and access controls using AWS IAM, roles, policies, and least privilege principles. Implement and maintain cloud security practices, including security groups, encryption, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls. Configure and maintain networking components including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, VPN connections, load balancers, and DNS services. Monitor AWS environments using CloudWatch and other monitoring tools to identify performance issues and maintain reliability. Automate infrastructure deployment and operational tasks using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Python, or scripting languages. Support backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutions. Manage and troubleshoot integrations between AWS services and third-party applications. Participate in client onboarding, cloud assessments, architecture reviews, and technical projects. Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve cloud operations, automation, security posture, and operational efficiency. Stay current with AWS services, cloud technologies, and industry best practices. Requirements 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud environments. Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting AWS infrastructure. Experience working with core AWS services including: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53 Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, load balancing, and DNS. Experience managing AWS identity and access management, permissions, roles, and security policies. Experience troubleshooting AWS infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and configuration issues. Experience with cloud security best practices, monitoring, logging, and compliance requirements. Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Python, or similar technologies. Experience supporting production cloud environments and business-critical workloads. Strong understanding of Linux and/or Windows server environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently. Strong documentation skills and ability to create technical procedures and knowledge base documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP), supporting multiple client environments. AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Developer, or other relevant AWS certifications. Experience managing AWS environments across multiple customers or business units. Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews and cloud optimization. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon ECS/EKS. Experience with monitoring and security tools such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, or third-party security platforms. Experience with database services including Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, or Aurora. Experience with hybrid cloud environments and connectivity solutions.
