Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (US West Coast Support)

Location: Remote

Working Hours: Flexible, with mandatory overlap with the US West Coast (Pacific Time). Candidates must provide a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US West Coast business hours.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure environments. This role is heavily focused on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, requiring strong hands-on experience with Azure services, endpoint management, device deployment, automation, and cloud operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure infrastructure while ensuring security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across enterprise environments. You will work closely with global infrastructure, security, DevOps, and application teams to deliver modern cloud solutions and continuously improve the organization's cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, including design, deployment, administration, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure services, including:
• Azure Virtual Machines and Virtual Machine Scale Sets
• Azure Storage
• Azure Networking (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute)
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, device compliance, application deployment, configuration profiles, and security policies.
• Perform Windows device deployment and provisioning using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Manage the complete endpoint lifecycle, including device enrollment, software deployment, patch management, compliance, and endpoint security.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational best practices to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or similar technologies.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar scripting tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Networking, and Application teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Ensure Azure environments comply with organizational security, governance, and compliance standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture documentation, and infrastructure standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure. This role is primarily focused on Azure technologies.

• Experience with automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and other monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of Azure security, identity management, governance, and best practices.
• Experience managing enterprise endpoint environments, including device provisioning, software deployment, endpoint security, and patch management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience administering Microsoft Intune in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Windows Autopilot deployments.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and container-based environments.
• Experience working in enterprise or global infrastructure teams supporting large-scale Azure environments.
