The Opportunity:

CACI’s EITaaS Program is a Department of the Air Force (DAF) initiative, which includes the Air Force and Space Force. EITaaS will transform the Dept. of the Air Force IT services from an in-house, base-centric delivery model to an advanced enterprise service delivery model. CACI will provide an enhanced IT management system, IT storefront, enterprise help desk, local field services, and life cycle support for end-user devices.

CACI and its partners will equip Airmen and Guardians with state-of-the-art services and automated capabilities that enable access to the tools they need to perform their mission efficiently and effectively when they need it, where they need it.

Responsibilities:

The Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Mobility Administrator will serve on the Mobility and Remote Access Services (MRAS) team to support the DAF in operating, sustaining, and improving enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and mobility capabilities. The administrator will support the delivery of secure remote access and virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft Intune, for the EITaaS program, and users across 187 bases.

Working with the Team Lead and engineering teams, the AVD and Mobility Administrator will also support the transition of new capabilities from engineering into operations, including operational hand-off and post-deployment monitoring.

More About the Role:

  • Responsible for working with Team Lead in administrating and maintaining Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) technologies based on Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft Intune.
  • Support project activities and client contact that addresses the operational transition, deployment, and retirement services.
  • Support the execution of PowerShell scripts and other deployment capabilities to automate Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) functionality and operations.
  • Triage and troubleshoot AVD and mobility user and system issues, providing remediation steps to resolve them.
  • Support Windows Zero Touch Implementation (ZTI) processes for AVD solutions.
  • Support the management and maintenance of Azure AVD resources and OS images; deploy monthly OS and application patches to existing AVD VMs.
  • Assist in monitoring AVD resources to ensure sufficient virtual resources are available for DAF users (shutting down over provisioned resources and startup up new resources when insufficient resources are available).
  • Act as a Purebred agent when requested.
  • Use the government’s ITSM tool to track customer service requests and trouble incident tickets, manage one or more associated operational ticket queue(s), develop and report performance metrics, and support ticket reviews as requested.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ability to obtain/maintain secret clearance.
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
  • Current certification for Security+ or any of CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP
  • Experience installing and supporting Windows client systems and mobile devices.
  • Ability to execute documented detailed technical processes.
  • Good Windows Operating System problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Azure compute and storage resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Exhibits strong customer service skills and can effectively communicate with end-users to understand and address their technical concerns.
  • Displays a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting Windows computers and users in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with MS Intune for managing mobile platforms.
  • Experience with STIG Windows security controls.
  • Experience creating technical documentation.
  • Experience creating and executing PowerShell scripts.
  • Experience with managing Active Directory domain or Entra ID user and computer objects.
  • DoD background, primarily USAF, preferred, especially when related to IT professional services for the Air Force.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
