Work Location: Rome, Milan / Hybrid Salary Range: Gross Annual Salary (RAL) between €27,000 and €33,000 YOUR ROLE We are looking for a Back End Developer to join our Pension Funds area. The selected professional will contribute to the development and maintenance of high-performance backend applications, participating in the entire software development lifecycle and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and extensible solutions. The role involves direct participation in the development of application services and components, while ensuring compliance with established design and development standards. Key activities will include: Understanding business requirements and translating them into effective application solutions Developing and maintaining robust, high-performance backend applications Designing and implementing RESTful APIs Collaborating with business and technical teams to define application solutions Contributing to the definition and enforcement of development and modelling standards Performing troubleshooting, debugging, and code optimization activities Supporting testing, release, and application maintenance processes Participating in the continuous improvement of software development processes RESPONSIBILITIES Understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable software solutions Develop high-performing and maintainable backend applications Ensure compliance with architectural and modelling standards defined by the team Collaborate with stakeholders involved in project activities Contribute to the technical evolution of existing applications Support development, testing, and maintenance activities Work effectively within a team while meeting objectives, deadlines, and quality standards REQUIREMENTS Practical knowledge of Java EE Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent command of English, both written and spoken Results-oriented mindset Ability to work according to established standards and deadlines Strong team-player attitude Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics NICE TO HAVE At least 2 years of experience in software development Knowledge of the Spring MVC Framework Experience in developing web applications based on Java EE technologies Knowledge of Oracle Database Practical knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL Experience working in structured project environments WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for someone passionate about software development and backend technologies, with an analytical mindset and a strong focus on code quality.
