PHP Laravel Software Engineer - Back End / Full Stack - 9 month Contract This is a full remote opportunity but you do need to live +/- 3 hours from GMT (UK time) for communication with the team. Cyberhawk pairs expert drone inspection services with our powerful iHawk aerial data management platform to provide reliable insight for our energy and large capital project clients. Ultimately, our software helps keep people out of danger whilst helping our clients make smarter decisions and reduce their carbon footprint. About the role: We are looking for an experienced Back End / Full Stack PHP Laravel Developer to work on our cloud-based application on an initial 9 month contract. Our tech environment: Our code base is varied. We are not expecting someone to have experience across our whole stack but this gives you an idea of what we use. Environment: PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, React, React Native, SQL (MySQL and maria DB), AWS, Azure, Docker, Git & Git Actions, GitHub Copilot, AWS SQS, MapBox and 3D visualisation with ThreeJS and Cesium. Design patterns / Important areas: Microservices, Security, Scalability, Usability, Cloud Native, Performance, CI/CD. Methodologies: Agile, User Centred Design. Who would be a good fit?: A back end or full stack engineer with solid PHP Laravel experience who is used to working on cloud based applications. Someone who understands Front end technologies. Someone who understands and adheres to agile delivery processes. Someone with good communication skills. Someone who takes ownership, responsibility and pride in their work. A good problem solver who is able to bring ideas and discuss with colleagues. Someone who is confident embracing and leveraging AI but knows to find the balance of using it to empower rather than replace their existing abilities.
