Backend Engineer

About the role We are hiring a remote Backend Engineer to build the APIs and distributed services behind our platform. You will own services end to end, from schema design to production operations. What you will do - Design and build backend services and APIs in production - Model data in PostgreSQL and keep queries fast at scale - Operate services on AWS, including monitoring and incident response - Collaborate with product engineers on service contracts Must have - 4+ years building backend services or APIs in production - Strong PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database experience - Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider Nice to have - Distributed or event-driven architecture experience; Python or Go Location: Remote (United States).
