Backend Software Engineer

As a Backend Software Engineer at ONEKEY, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the core backend systems of our SaaS platform for Product Cybersecurity and Compliance. You will develop cloud-native services that power automated IoT firmware analysis and integrate cutting-edge security research into production-ready solutions. Working closely with frontend developers and white-hat hackers, your contributions will directly influence platform reliability, performance and the long-term growth of ONEKEY.

You’ll be part of a small, highly skilled engineering team, working closely with white-hat hackers, frontend developers and other stakeholders. This role offers deep technical challenges, strong exposure to IT security topics and the opportunity to contribute to both product development and open-source initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Developing backend services for ONEKEY Product Cybersecurity & Compliance Platform.
• Security Collaboration: Cooperating closely with white-hat hackers to integrate research findings into production systems.
• Testing and Quality: Developing and maintaining automated testing environments and ensuring high software quality through TDD and best practices.
• Agile Collaboration: Working in close cooperation with others in an agile, cross-functional team.

Required Experience:

• Python Development: Strong experience with Python development and scripting.
• Linux: Solid experience working with Linux-based systems.
• Data and Messaging: Experience with SQL databases.
• Continuous Delivery: Experience with CI/CD environments and cloud-native architectures.
• Language Skills: High level of written and spoken English and Hungarian.
• Security Interest: Any experience or strong interest in IT security (penetration testing, reverse engineering, CTFs, etc.) is a strong plus.

Nice to have:

• Containerization & Development Environments: Experience working with Docker and containerized environments. Familiarity with Nix/NixOS is considered a strong plus.
• Cloud-native Development: Experience with containerization, API design and cloud-native architectures.
• Operating System Internals: Knowledge of low-level operating system architecture and services. Experience with debuggers and system call tracing.
