Our Banking & Finance Team

Our practice is one of the foremost in Greece with an expertise in both benchmark and mainstream domestic and cross-border transactions. We act for international and domestic banks, investment firms and other financial institutions, funds and public and private companies which do business in Greece.

Over the last decades, we have participated in the vast majority of significant deals to have taken place in terms of both complexity and value and have structured and executed numerous pioneering transactions. An integral part of our practice is drafting and reviewing complex documentation, including for financing, refinancing, rescheduling or restructuring transactions, in most cases involving security over assets located in Greece or corporate guarantees by Greek companies.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to join a highly established Banking & Finance team in Greece. As an Associate lawyer, you will be working directly on landmark transactions — from syndicated and bilateral lending and acquisition finance to securitisation and the management of non-performing exposures — alongside lawyers who have structured some of the country's most significant deals.

You won't just be executing tasks. You will be developing deep expertise, building client relationships, and contributing to transactions that shape the Greek financial landscape.

What You Will Be Doing

• Contributing to the full lifecycle of deals, from structuring through execution and closing

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex financing documentation — including for secured, unsecured, syndicated and bilateral lending, corporate financings, and acquisition finance

• Working on asset finance, securitisation, and sale, purchase, and management of non-performing exposures

• Supporting cross-border transactions, including security over Greek assets and corporate guarantees

• Collaborating closely with senior lawyers and partners on high-profile domestic and international

matters

Required Qualifications

Essential:

• Up to 4 years of professional experience in banking & finance and corporate and commercial law

• LLB degree with a strong academic record

• Admitted to the Athens or a regional Bar Association in Greece

A strong plus:

• LLM or postgraduate diploma from a well-acclaimed law school in Greece or abroad, ideally in Banking & Finance Law

• Prior experience in a banking institution or financial services environment

Required Skills

• Fluency in both Greek and English - written and spoken communication

• Legal drafting and analytical ability - a consistent track record of producing precise, high-quality legal work across complex documentation

• Interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Deadline management - ability to work efficiently and calmly under time pressure across multiple concurrent matters

• Attention to detail
