About this Position The Business Development Manager will drive strategic growth opportunities across Mexico and LATAM by identifying emerging market trends, developing customer-centric strategies, and expanding the adoption of innovative rehabilitation and protective technologies within the water and civil infrastructure sectors. This role serves as a key link between Sales, Marketing, Key Account Management, and Technical teams to accelerate market penetration and sustainable business growth. What you´ll do Strategic Business Development Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities within the water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure markets. Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to drive strategic growth initiatives. Build short- and long-term business scenarios, including investment and market-entry recommendations. Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with global business objectives. Market & Customer Engagement Establish and maintain strong relationships with utilities, municipalities, engineering consultants, contractors, and key industry stakeholders. Support sales teams throughout complex project cycles by influencing specifications and positioning solutions early in the decision-making process. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and technical events. Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Sales teams to create customer development plans and prioritize growth opportunities. Product & Technology Leadership Act as the voice of the market by identifying customer, application, and technology needs and communicating them to internal stakeholders. Support product positioning strategies and value proposition development for infrastructure rehabilitation and protection solutions. Partner with Marketing to define training programs, promotional initiatives, and customer engagement campaigns. Provide technical and commercial guidance to customers and internal teams. Market Intelligence & Innovation Develop and implement tools and processes to generate market intelligence and competitive insights. Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and customer expectations to identify future growth opportunities. Lead and support innovation initiatives and cross-functional projects that enhance market competitiveness and business performance. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technical Service, and Business Development teams to drive execution excellence. Provide business transparency and actionable market insights that enable informed decision-making. Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a high-performance and customer-focused culture. What makes you a good fit Required Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, strategic account management, or commercial leadership within infrastructure, industrial, or construction-related markets. Strong knowledge of water utilities, municipal infrastructure, asset rehabilitation, or related industries. Proven experience managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and long project cycles. Solid technical understanding of rehabilitation technologies, protective coatings, construction materials, or related solutions. Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate technical and commercial concepts effectively. Availability to travel throughout Mexico and Latin America (40%-60%). Preferred Experience in water infrastructure rehabilitation, corrosion protection, waterproofing, trenchless technologies, or related fields. Understanding of municipal procurement processes, utility operations, and infrastructure project development cycles. Experience working across multiple LATAM markets. Demonstrated success influencing project specifications and generating demand through a consultative approach.
