Description At Playground Pediatrics, our purpose is to give every child what they need to grow up healthy, cared for, and celebrated. We are writing a new chapter for children’s health by strengthening pediatric care and support within communities that we serve. If you are motivated to advance the future of pediatric care, we would love to have you join our team. Values that bring you to Playground You question the way things have always been and explore what could be better You hold yourself accountable to do what’s right, always putting the needs of children and families at the center of decisions You assume good intent, listen first, and treat every interaction as a chance to build trust You bring energy and passion into your work You embrace challenges and believe that you can build something better Position Summary Playground Pediatrics’ centralized behavioral health service line provides evidence-based treatment for patients across Playground’s multi-state network through the Collaborative Care Model and psychotherapy services. Collaborative Care is an evidence-based model designed to treat common mental health conditions in primary care settings through a team-based approach. The Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is a clinical and operational leader responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services across Playground Pediatrics’ practices. This role supervises, manages, and supports Behavioral Health Care Managers (BHCMs) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) providing treatment through the Collaborative Care Model and direct psychotherapy, respectively. Additionally, the Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor partners closely with the central support team to design, implement, and continuously improve behavioral health program operations across markets. The ideal candidate is a seasoned pediatric behavioral health clinician who is equally comfortable providing reflective clinical supervision and driving process improvement initiatives, and who brings a systems-level perspective to integrated care delivery in a primary care setting. Location: Remote (preference for candidates based in Tennessee) Travel: Ability to travel periodically to practice sites across Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Schedule: 40 hours per week Key Responsibilities Provide ongoing, structured clinical supervision to BHCMs and LCSWs across all markets, including individual and group supervision sessions. Review and provide feedback on clinical documentation, treatment plans, patient progress, and billing-related time tracking to ensure quality and compliance. Support clinicians in managing complex or high-acuity cases, including safety planning and escalation decisions. Ensure fidelity to the Collaborative Care Model and other evidence-based frameworks used across the practice. Provide clinical guidance on evidence-based therapy techniques. Monitor caseload health and clinician capacity across markets; identify and address concerns proactively. Support the onboarding and training of new BHCMs and LCSWs, ensuring clinical readiness and alignment with organizational standards. Identify professional development needs and facilitate or coordinate relevant training opportunities, including evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, DBT-informed skills). Partner with hiring managers to participate in the recruitment and selection of behavioral health clinicians. Conduct or contribute to performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to direct reports. Partner with the central support team to design and optimize behavioral health workflows, care pathways, documentation standards, and referral processes across markets. Collaborate with operations and population health teams to monitor and improve program metrics, including engagement rates, graduation rates, clinical outcomes, and billing performance. Identify operational barriers impacting treatment delivery and work cross-functionally to develop solutions. Maintain visibility into behavioral health operations across all three markets (Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee), with periodic in-person presence at practice sites. Build and maintain strong working relationships with market-level clinical and operational leaders, PCPs, and practice staff to support integrated care delivery. Ensure consistency in clinical standards and patient experience across markets while remaining responsive to local context and needs. Represent behavioral health perspectives in cross-functional discussions with clinical, operational, and leadership teams. Requirements Requirements Active, unrestricted LCSW license in at least one of the following states: Georgia, North Carolina, or Tennessee; multi-state licensure or licensure compact participation (e.g., Social Work Licensure Compact) strongly preferred. Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program. Minimum of 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or clinical leadership role. Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed behavioral health clinicians. Strong clinical background in pediatric and/or adolescent behavioral health, including experience with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and family systems. Deep familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and brief interventions. Experience working within or overseeing an integrated or collaborative care model (e.g., CoCM, PCBH, or similar). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with clinical documentation and EHR systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a multi-site, value-based, or primary care-integrated behavioral health setting. Familiarity with Collaborative Care Model and billing codes. Experience with telehealth-first or virtual care delivery organizations. Experience in program design, workflow development, or quality improvement in a healthcare setting. Experience with athenaOne EHR software. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
