Job Description Bilingual Account Manager, Associations & Affinity Groups Advance your career in commercial insurance through a permanent opportunity that offers comprehensive health and dental benefits from Day 1, generous paid time off, ongoing professional development, and a collaborative work environment. Support a specialized portfolio within the Associations and Affinity Groups practice, managing association programs and member-focused insurance solutions across the Québec portfolio. Build strong relationships with association stakeholders, members, and insurer partners, deepen your technical insurance expertise, and gain valuable exposure to program management, strategic account development, and long-term career growth. What is in it for you: • Annual salary of 65K-75K, based on experience. • Annual qualitative discretionary bonus is up to 12% of base salary and an uncapped variable bonus based on team performance, including revenue growth over the prior year. • Permanent full-time position. • Standard schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. • 40-hour work week with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. • Hybrid work environment with approximately 90% remote work and 10% in-office attendance for team meetings and events. • Quarterly travel to Québec required as part of the role. • 3 weeks of vacation upon hire. • 6 personal/sick days and 2 bereavement days. • Additional paid time off, including 1 holiday bonus day, 1 birthday bonus day, 2 religious days, 1 volunteer day, and 1 study and exam day. • Comprehensive health and dental benefits effective from Day 1, including coverage through Greenshield and MyHSA. • RRSP matching program through Wealthsimple, with up to a 1% employer match after 1 year of service. • Equipment provided, including up to 2 monitors, laptop, keyboard, mouse, headset, webcam, and docking station. • Opportunity to develop expertise within a specialized commercial insurance practice. • Exposure to strategic account management and business growth initiatives. • Leadership development and mentorship from senior insurance leaders. • Defined career progression with development toward a Senior Account Manager position and potential longer term leadership opportunities. • Opportunity to influence the growth and direction of a specialized client portfolio. Responsibilities • Provide a consultative client experience by offering professional advice that helps clients make informed insurance decisions. • Develop a thorough understanding of clients' needs, preferences, and expectations. • Build and maintain strong relationships with association clients, members, and insurer partners. • Manage assigned association programs with guidance when required. • Execute program renewals and servicing activities accurately and efficiently. • Develop technical knowledge and expertise related to assigned insurance programs. • Stay current on program features, specifications, benefits, industry trends, competitor products, and market developments. • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell insurance products based on client needs. • Refer clients to Personal Insurance, Commercial Enterprise, and Life and Benefits teams when appropriate. • Assist clients through multiple communication channels in a fast-paced environment. • Advocate for clients by identifying appropriate solutions and providing sound risk management advice. • Maintain accurate records of client interactions using the Broker Management System and other company portals. • Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional service. • Assist with invoicing, payment collection, and account reconciliation when required. • Escalate complex matters appropriately while continuing to build independent decision-making capabilities. • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance role-related knowledge and skills. What you will need to succeed: • RIBO License required and AMF license or willingness to obtain it. • 2-3 years of experience in account management, sales, underwriting, or a related role within an insurance brokerage or insurance company. • Experience in commercial insurance is strongly preferred. • Exposure to Professional Liability Insurance, Commercial General Liability Insurance, or Group Insurance is considered a strong asset. • Bilingual in English and French to communicate with association clients, members, and insurer partners, and provide consultative service in both languages. • Strong client relationship management and consultative service skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, engaging, empathetic, and approachable attitude. • Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
