Bilingual Cantonese and English Interpreter

Medilinker LLC is looking to hire Cantonese and English speakers for a remote interpreter position. As a Cantonese interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate clear and accurate communication between English-speaking and Cantonese-speaking individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between Cantonese and English.
• Facilitate clear communication between individuals in different languages.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow professional interpretation standards.
• Provide cultural mediation when needed.
• Maintain strong knowledge of language terminology and communication practices.
• Accurately document interpretation services when required.

Requirements:

• Fluency in Cantonese and English.
• No previous interpretation experience required.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Reliable internet connection.
• Ability to work remotely on a full-time basis.

• Quiet and professional workspace suitable for confidential conversations.

Work Details:

• Remote position.
• Pay Rate: $11 USD per hour.
• Full-time position.
• Interpretation through OPI (audio) and VRI (video).
• Mandatory 3-week paid training and assessment before onboarding.
• Training includes 2 hours of live training plus 5 hours of paid homework/assignments per day.
