The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on U.S. healthcare experience across the full referral lifecycle, possessing fluent English/Spanish communication skills and deep knowledge of insurance eligibility verification and prior authorization processes for specialist office visits. Key Responsibilities: Full Referral Lifecycle Management: Take full ownership of referral intake, clinical documentation gathering, processing, tracking to completion, and closing within Epic EMR . Workqueue Management: Daily monitoring and efficient management of Epic referral and authorization workqueues to prevent care delays. Insurance & Eligibility Verification: Verify patient coverage, plan benefits, and navigate complex HMO/PPO payer guidelines. Prior Authorizations: Secure timely prior authorizations specifically for specialty office visits and outpatient consults. Documentation & Follow-Up: Maintain meticulous, accurate status notes and patient records in Epic to maintain high-volume compliance and transparency. EMR Requirement: Proficiency using Epic EMR (preferably experience handling Epic referral/authorization workqueues).
