About the role
Join the IT Performance and Partnership team, in the Bilingual Senior Specialist, Project Management position, where you'll lead the delivery of strategic technology initiatives that enable business transformation and support organizational priorities. Working closely with business leaders and sponsors, you'll drive complex IT projects from concept to implementation, ensuring strong governance, proactive risk management, and the successful realization of business outcomes.
Lead the successful delivery of some of CMHC's most strategic and complex technology initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring successful outcomes aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with business sponsors and stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and success measures.
- Develop and maintain project plans while managing risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project performance and provide clear reporting and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate internal and external resources to achieve project goals.
- Champion project governance, delivery standards, and best practices while mentoring project managers and team members.
What you should have:
- An undergraduate degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, commerce, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience managing complex, cross-functional, and high-risk IT projects within a large organization.
- A demonstrated experience applying project management methodologies, governance practices, and industry best practices to technology initiatives.
- Strong project planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and delivery leadership capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- A proven ability to navigate ambiguity, drive results, and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Bilingual (English and French).
It would be great if you also had:
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management designation.
- An experience delivering enterprise technology, digital transformation, or business modernization initiatives.
- An experience with Agile, Hybrid, or traditional project delivery methodologies.
