Role Purpose
The role is responsible for accurate invoice issuance and proactive management of a variety of enquiries from both within the organisation and our customers. A successful billing analyst has strong analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with a strong customer-service mindset and excellent communication skills. The role will also lead targeted business improvement projects to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
The role is part of a passionate team located in Prague, with each analyst responsible for a specific region and / or sales teams. The team leverages Salesforce (CRM) and Aria (billing platform) to execute their function. The billing team is part of the broader Commerical Finance team, which is responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis, Merges & Acquisitions, Strategic Initiatives and Enterprise Data Management. As a result, this role will have exposure to other related functions providing both growth opportunities and insights into perspective career pathways.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end management of invoice issuance. This includes validating / establishing new billing accounts, reviewing auto-generated invoices, and intervening as required to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Work with sales organisation and customers to review and validate disputes; create and issue credit notes once approved
- Work with customers to resolve a variety of other queries in a professional manner
- Support enquires from the Sales team and provide guidance on actions to ensure accurate billing
- Proactively identify system and / or process inefficiencies and take on tangible improvement projects to drive operational improvements,
Individual Profile
- Experience in a billing, accounts receivable or other quantitative field
- Passionate and strong problem solving skills, leveraging analytical and data manipulation skills; excellent Excel skills required
- Professional-level written and verbal English skills; other European languages an advantage.
- A customer service mindset; billing is a key touch-point for our customers and we strive to make doing business with EXA easy
- A team-player first, demonstrated by an interest and willingness to support team-level deliverables
- Strong personal organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and / or conflicting priorities
- High learning agility coupled with a hunger to develop new skills and be challenged by new experiences
