Reports to: Director of Revenue Strategy, Client & Billing Services

Mission

Bill every client in your portfolio correctly and on time for the work URS does for them, catch errors before clients do, and keep improving how the billing gets done.

URS audits how multifamily and commercial real estate owners bill their residents for utilities and helps them recover costs and increase net operating income. We also provide On-Call and Development Services. This role sits on the team that bills our clients for that work.

Who we are looking for

We hire for character and teach the job. You do not need experience in our industry. We want someone who is precise, curious, and eager to learn, who likes getting data exactly right, and who uses modern tools, including AI, to build better ways of working. If you want a role you can grow from, this is it.

What you will do

Specific goals and timelines will be set with your manager after you start.

  1. Learn how URS bills. Learn how URS charges clients for its audit, On-Call, and Development Services work, how billing is set up in our systems, and how the monthly invoicing cycle runs, with hands-on training from the team.
  2. Own a billing portfolio. Prepare and review monthly invoices for an assigned set of clients or services and make sure every client is billed correctly and on time.
  3. Be the first answer for clients. Respond to owners and property managers about URS invoices, fees, and account questions. Explain charges in plain language and follow every issue through to resolution.
  4. Set up billing for new work. When new audit work or services begin, set up the billing items, rates, and account details accurately, working with our Audit and Implementation teams.
  5. Build better tools. Find the manual, repetitive steps in our billing process and use tools, including AI, to make them faster and more accurate. Then check that they work.
  6. Keep the team covered. Step in on teammates’ accounts during absences and busy deadlines. No task is too small.

What it takes

  • Obsessive attention to detail. You get the number, the date, and the name exactly right, and you check your work before it goes out.
  • Curiosity. You ask why. When something does not add up, you dig in until it does, even when no one asked you to.
  • A drive to learn. You teach yourself new tools and rules quickly. Tell us about something you learned on your own.
  • You like data work. Careful data entry does not bore you. You find satisfaction in getting it right and look for ways to do it faster.
  • You think in systems. When an error happens, you want to know what in the process let it happen, and you fix that.
  • AI is a tool, not a crutch. You use AI to build solutions and move faster, you check what it produces, and you can explain the result without it.
  • You want to grow. You are looking for more responsibility and see this role as a step in your career.
  • Dependable and clear. Your team can plan around you, and you communicate plainly and calmly, including with a frustrated client.

A plus, not a requirement

  • Invoicing, accounts receivable, or billing operations experience
  • Property management, multifamily, or commercial real estate experience
  • Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system

Benefits and schedule

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and paid holidays
  • Full-time and remote from anywhere in the United States, with availability during core business hours
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment is contingent on a background check.

How we hire

Our process is short and practical. You will answer three questions with your application, then have a 30-minute video call. Finalists join a longer interview with a hands-on exercise: we teach you a piece of our billing process, ask you to apply it, and ask you to improve it using the tools of your choice, including AI. We finish with reference calls to former managers.

Applications are reviewed as they arrive, and this posting is expected to close on October 9, 2026.
