Billing Analyst: IT & TELECOMMUNICATIONS | CYBER SECURITY

We are looking for an experienced Billing Analyst to join a growing technology-focused business operating within the IT, Telecommunications and Cyber Security sector.

This is a specialist billing role requiring someone with strong, hands-on Billing Analyst experience, excellent attention to detail and a solid understanding of complex billing processes within a technology environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring billing is accurate, timely and complete, while identifying discrepancies and supporting the wider finance and operations teams.

KEY REQUIREMENTSTRONG BILLING ANALYST EXPERIENCE WITHIN IT, TELECOMMUNICATIONS OR CYBER SECURITY IS ESSENTIAL.

Candidates from general accounts, bookkeeping or purely transactional finance backgrounds without substantial billing experience in a technology-related environment will not be suitable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the end-to-end billing process, ensuring invoices are accurate, complete and issued on time.
• Review billing data, contracts, usage and pricing to ensure correct customer invoicing.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, errors and customer queries.
• Process recurring and ad-hoc billing accurately across multiple customers and services.
• Reconcile billing records against accounting and operational systems.
• Work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations and Customer teams to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end billing processes, reporting and reconciliations.
• Identify billing anomalies, revenue leakage and opportunities to improve billing accuracy.
• Support improvements to billing processes, controls and systems.
  

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Strong, proven Billing Analyst experience – ESSENTIAL.
• IT, Telecommunications, Cyber Security or a closely related technology-sector background – ESSENTIAL.
• Strong understanding of billing processes, invoicing and reconciliations.
• Experience working with recurring billing, customer accounts and service-based billing.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve complex billing issues.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
