BIM Modeler / Revit Drafter (Scan-to-BIM Specialist)
The A CareerWe are seeking a highly meticulous BIM Modeler / Revit Drafter specializing in Scan-to-BIM. The primary objective of this role is to transform 3D laser scan data (Point Clouds) into highly accurate, data-rich BIM models within Autodesk Revit. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction tolerances, as-built modeling methodologies, and the ability to accurately interpret complex scan data for architectural, structural, and/or MEP disciplines.
A VOICENOTE IN ENGLISH AND A PORTFOLIO WILL BE REQUESTED FOR THE SCREENING PROCESS.
🛠️Technical Requirements:
Education: Degree or Technical Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven, hands-on experience in Scan-to-BIM production workflows.
Required Software Proficiency:
Autodesk Revit (Advanced: modeling, phasing, worksharing, and family creation). (This is a MUST)
Autodesk ReCap Pro (Advanced: registration, cleanup, clipping, and exporting point clouds).
Preferred Software (Plus):
Automated extraction plugins or standalone tools (e.g., EdgeWise, Faro As-Built for Revit, Leica CloudWorx).
Autodesk Navisworks (for clash detection between the point cloud and the new 3D model).
Key Skills:
Strong spatial perception and 3D visualization skills.
Deep understanding of building systems to accurately interpret raw data points (e.g., differentiating a structural beam from a mechanical duct).
🌟 Soft Skills
Attention to Detail: Obsessive focus on millimeter-level accuracy and precision.
Problem-Solving: Independence to make logical drafting assumptions when dealing with "noisy" scan data or occlusions.
Data Management: Ability to organizedly handle massive file formats (Gigabytes/Terabytes of raw laser data).
