Join us as a Biofuels Supply Coordinator.
As part of the Supply, Trading & Shipping team, you will work as Biofuels Supply Coordinator, supporting the commercial execution, reporting, supply and compliance activities associated with bp’s biofuels business in Spain and Portugal.

The role will report to the Biofuels Supply Coordinator Lead and will work closely partners across Operations, Finance, Compliance Assurance, Supply, Trading and the commercial businesses.

In this role you will:

• Support the Biofuels Coordinator Lead in the monthly purchasing process for FAME, Copro, HVO, ethanol and different compliance alternatives, ensuring that bp’s physical supply and regulatory requirements are met while improving commercial value and leading associated risks.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with biofuels counterparties: suppliers, customers, brokers, producers and traders.
• Lead negotiations for emerging low-carbon activities within the role’s scope, including e credits, RED III certificates and other relevant regulatory optimization opportunities.
• Lead the commercial execution of third-party biofuels transactions, including deal confirmation, contract creation and the appropriate handover to Operations, Finance, Compliance Assurance and other relevant internal partners.
• Support the monthly update of biofuels benchmarks, sourcing costs, supply sales pricing formulas and purchasing assumptions used across M&C, B2B and HVO100.
• Prepare recurring biofuels performance reporting, including GFO, variances and opportunities, weekly sourcing-cost updates and supporting materials for management presentations.
• Prepare the monthly MOT calculation for Portugal and provide the required biofuels inputs for integrated-margin and commercial-performance processes.
• Perform quarterly reconciliations of compliance position and GHG balances with Compliance Assurance, investigating discrepancies and maintaining the required supporting documentation.
• Support the Biofuels Analyst MED in the maintenance of Bioverse and other recurring supply optimization and compliance files, ensuring that deal, price, volume, sustainability and GHG information is accurately recorded.
• Monitor the execution of agreed purchases and supply activities, highlighting potential issues related to volumes, timing, pricing, sustainability, quality or compliance.
• Coordinate information requests with Operations, Finance, Compliance Assurance and the commercial businesses, ensuring that the biofuels team receives complete and timely information.

Key Accountabilities:

• Prepare recurring reporting on biofuels performance, sourcing costs and management information.
• Perform compliance and GHG balance reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Support Bioverse and related supply optimization and compliance tools.
• Monitor execution of purchases and supply activities and identify potential risks.
• Coordinate information flows across Operations, Finance, Compliance Assurance and commercial teams.

What you will need to be successful:

• Higher education degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business, economics, finance, engineering, supply chain or energy.
• Strong commercial savvy and the ability to translate market, regulatory and operational information into clear purchasing and supply decisions.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills and a clear interest in biofuels, energy supply or commodities.
• Good Excel capabilities – modeling and LP optimization - and the ability to work confidently with structured datasets and recurring reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation, controls and process execution.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across different functions.
• Commercial curiosity, a proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of assigned activities.
• Ability to identify discrepancies or execution risks and escalate them appropriately.
