Board & Licensure Claims Consultant

In this role, you will…

• Communicate with insureds whose medical care or billing practices are being investigated by a licensing agency.
• Determine whether the insurance policy covers the loss claimed.
• Select legal counsel.
• Manage cases with outside counsel.
• Document case file regarding development and disposition.
• Manage litigation costs, both fees and expenses.
• Post reserves.
• Communicate with Underwriting regarding nature of the dispute.
• Take on other activities required of a front line claims person.

We are looking for candidates with…

• 1 to 5 years of claims experience, preferably professional liability claims.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Paralegal experience with professional liability experience is a plus.
• Analytical skills and an interest in identifying potential insurance coverage issues.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Discipline to work independently.
• Ability to confidently diffuse tense situations and manage conflict.

General: MedPro Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The annual gross base salary range is $60,000 to $100,000. This range anticipates the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
