To help fuel that growth, we need a Bodily Injury Claims Handler to join our growing UK Claims team in Manchester.

What you'll do

  • Manage your own caseload of OIC and MOJ portal claims from instruction through to settlement or litigation.

  • Be comfortable dealing with bodily injury claims that fall outside of the portal.

  • Liaise directly with clients, claimants, and third parties to progress cases efficiently.

  • Handle indemnity, liability and quantum investigations and disputes.

  • Review medical records and expert reports to accurately value general and special damages.

  • Identify and refer fraudulent activity and questionable underwriting.

  • Identify and refer large loss flags.

  • Actively seek opportunities to technically progress.

  • Support a Team Leader.

    • What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience (3+ years) handling motor-related bodily injury claims from inception through to settlement.

  • Familiarity with government-linked personal injury frameworks and portals, including Official Injury Claim (OIC) and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) claims services.

  • Knowledge of the differing jurisdictions in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

  • Technical knowledge of UK motor insurance coverages, bodily injury, the Pre-Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules. Knowledge of handling procedures in other jurisdictions is desirable but not required.

  • Deep understanding of indemnity, liability assessment, and quantum.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively represent Prima.

  • Strong attention to detail, with a problem-solving attitude.

  • Comfortable working in a growing / scale-up business environment.
