Bookkeeper

Job description: Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in real estate accounting who is looking to grow their accounting career. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for data entry, transaction processing, and other day-to-day accounting support tasks using AppFolio and other accounting systems. This position focuses on accurate and timely processing of accounting information and supporting the accounting team with administrative and bookkeeping functions. Key Responsibilities Enter and maintain accounting data in AppFolio. Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Assist with account reconciliations. Review and enter invoices, bills, and journal entries. Support month-end closing activities. Assist with tracking and resolving accounting discrepancies. Organize and maintain accounting documentation and digital records. Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Qualifications Required: 1. Experience working in real estate accounting, property management accounting, or a related field. 2. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger data entry. 3. Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes. 4. Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail. 5. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. 6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 7. Strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred: 1 Experience using AppFolio. 2 Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Remote
