Demonstrate a discretionary work ethic, going beyond the minimum scope of the role when client or team needs require it. Attitude & Work Ethic Proactive and self-directed, with a strong sense of ownership over outcomes, not just assigned tasks Comfortable with ad hoc requests and shifting priorities, without needing to be asked twice Identifies what needs doing next, rather than waiting for instruction Treats client outcomes as a shared responsibility, going beyond the bare minimum of the role What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (nice to have, not required) Minimum 1 year of NZ-focused accounting or bookkeeping experience (nice to have, not required) Proficiency in Xero Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong written and verbal English communication skills Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management abilities Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines in a remote setting Why This Role This is an opportunity to work closely with a New Zealand accounting practice and gain hands-on exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, GST compliance, reconciliations, and management accounts.
