We're growing our finance team and seeking a skilled Bookkeeper and Payroll to play a key role in our financial operations. If you excel in managing complex finances, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic growth in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Support internal and external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting, with a focus on federal guidelines (e.g., FAR, DCAA).
• Analyze project costs, invoicing, and reimbursements for government contracts and private initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and optimize operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with multi-state tax laws and financial best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional bookkeeping and payroll experience, preferably in government contracting, IT services, or a similar regulated industry.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Deltek) and Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, federal acquisition regulations, and cost accounting principles.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-friendly setting.
• U.S. citizenship; must pass a background check
