Prager Metis offers: Flexible work arrangements (Remote/WFH/Hybrid on select roles) Competitive base salaries Paid time off, Sick Time, & Holidays Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flex Spending Options: HRA, FSA, and/or HSA Access to Employee Wellness Programs Summer Flexible Schedule Employer contribution to 401(k) plan CPA licensure support & Incentives as well as other applicable certifications and licenses Make a Difference: Volunteer opportunities with charity partner organizations Follow Prager Metis CPAs on Social Media: LinkedIn Twitter Instagram Facebook YouTube Responsibilities Process accounts payable/receivable, and reconcile clients’ balance sheet accounts Enter general ledger postings and adjusting journal entries in the system Prepare bank & credit card statements Prepare and edit monthly cash flows Record and enter payroll Interact with vendors, banking relationships and clients Respond to daily client or partner requests Process payroll, gross-up calculations, and timesheet calculations (ADP or Paychex) Prepare and file state and use tax return and property tax forms Prepare consolidated financial statements Intercompany reconciliation (Japanese parent- U.S. Subs) Prepare financial statements, cash flow statements, and income statements, operational reports, and forms 1096, 1099 and 1042 Coordinate with clients for SOS filings, annual report, registered agent and business license renewals Special projects as assigned partner requests Starting salary range for this position is between $55-60k, and will be finalized based on the candidate's years of experience and local cost of labor. Please note this is position is non-exempt and full-time. Remote and or hybrid work arrangements available for this position as long as the individual resides in the U.S. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting or related experience Heavy bookkeeping experience, with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, etc. High level of organization and attention to detail Excellent client service orientation in both Japanese and English. Written and verbal Ability to manage multiple deadlines, projects, and clients with accuracy, dedication, and enthusiasm Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other Microsoft Office programs High level working knowledge of QuickBooks and some knowledge of Bill.com The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
