Who You Are: You are in pursuit of or have recently obtained your CPA license and enjoy helping clients and collaborating with your co-workers when you encounter a unique situation that requires you to research and solve a client’s problem. You are looking to advance your career and help grow your firm. Responsibilities: Ensure the accuracy of returns by preparing and reviewing individual, trust, estate, partnership, and corporate returns, as well as estimated payments and extensions Develop an understanding of client businesses and use this knowledge to help diagnose opportunities and suggest solutions Leverage effective working relationships with clients through responsiveness and direct communication in order to influence and motivate them Independently organize project activities and ensure tasks are completed within project scope and budget Support Managers and Principals with economic responsibilities for billing, realization, and collections Coach and support Associates as they learn technical skills, systems, and processes and provide opportunities to apply them Provide tax research on a wide range of tax issues, draft IRS responses, and other taxing authority inquiries Work with leaders on special projects Required Skills: Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and ProFx Engagement preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Produce high-quality work under deadlines Effective verbal and written communication Particular attention to detail Excellent organization and time management Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability Successful execution of multiple projects simultaneously Willingness to take initiative and find solutions Ability to perform successfully both on a team as well as independently Qualifications: 3+ years of related experience, with at least 2 years preparing complex individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns CPA candidates preferred DHJJ Perks: Hybrid work environment CPA exam incentives Dress for your day Flexible schedules Referral bonuses for new hires and new clients Benefits: Group health insurance offered through BCBS (Health & Dental), VSP (Vision), HealthEquity (HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA Employer-paid Long- and Short-Term Disability Paid parental leave Group life insurance through AICPA 12 1/2 paid holidays per year PTO policy starting at 15 days per year 401(k) Profit-Sharing Plan with discretionary 3% employer contribution Paid society memberships, training, and continuing education Eligible for discretionary bonuses based on productivity, performance, and other contributions to the firm Why Would You Want to Work at DHJJ?
