Occupational Psychologist – Employability Are you passionate about using occupational psychology to help people move into sustainable employment and achieve their potential? As our Occupational Psychologist – Employability, you'll join the Innovation team and play a key role in shaping the assessment, profiling and behavioural insight solutions that support our public sector employability programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of psychology, assessment design and service delivery, translating evidence into practical interventions that improve employment outcomes, increase fairness and support greater diversity of outcome. You'll work closely with clients, work coaches, delivery partners and senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor while driving innovation and continuous improvement. Alongside supporting employability programmes, you'll also contribute to the growth of our resourcing solutions by applying your expertise in assessment, data and psychology to help develop new capabilities and propositions. This is a full-time, permanent position with the flexibility to be based anywhere across the UK and occasional travel to our London office. You'll be joining an Innovation team at an exciting stage of growth, where new ideas are encouraged and your expertise will directly influence how we design and deliver employability and assessment solutions. What you'll be doing: Designing, delivering and evaluating assessment, profiling and screening solutions that support recruitment, progression and employability outcomes. Applying psychometric, statistical and data interrogation methods to ensure solutions are robust, fair, reliable and valid, and to measure their impact. Providing expert occupational psychology consultancy to clients, work coaches and senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing best practice. Driving innovation through emerging assessment methods, behavioural science and technology to improve outcomes, increase diversity and reduce adverse impact. Leading end-to-end assessment and employability workstreams, ensuring delivery meets agreed quality, budget and timescale requirements. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities while maintaining high standards of governance, ethics and responsible data use. What you'll bring: Experience designing, delivering and evaluating assessment and/or selection processes and materials. Experience applying occupational psychology within an employability, recruitment, assessment or public sector environment. Strong knowledge of assessment design, psychometrics and evaluation, including fairness, adverse impact and diversity of outcome. Experience using statistical methods and data interrogation techniques to evidence reliability, validity and impact. Experience influencing clients and senior stakeholders and building trusted advisory relationships. Chartered Occupational Psychologist (CPsychol) status, equivalent professional qualification, or actively working towards the British Psychological Society Qualification in Occupational Psychology Stage 2, alongside British Psychological Society Test User: Occupational qualification. It would be great if you had: Experience within Recruitment Process Outsourcing or employability programmes. Experience supporting business development activities, including proposals, bids and new business opportunities. Strong commercial awareness. Registration as, or eligibility for registration as, a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. Experience using SPSS or equivalent statistical analysis tools. Salary: Up to £70k per annum dependent upon experience and development needs.
