Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded individual, Order-to-Cash (O2C) to lead the evolution of our end-to-end O2C function as we continue to grow. This role is responsible for developing and executing the Order-to-Cash strategy, ensuring scalable processes, exceptional customer experience, strong financial controls, and operational excellence across the business. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader who can build high-performing teams, partner closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Operations, and deliver an O2C organisation that supports sustainable business growth while improving cash flow and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the Order-to-Cash strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives. Build a scalable operating model capable of supporting rapid business expansion, new products, and new markets. Lead organisational transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and customer experience. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on O2C performance, risks, and opportunities. Growth & Transformation Design scalable processes that enable business growth without proportional increases in cost. Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives leveraging ERP, CRM, AI, and workflow technologies. Identify opportunities to simplify processes while improving customer experience and reducing cycle times. Support acquisitions, integrations, and international expansion where applicable. Leadership & Talent Development Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing global O2C organisation. Create a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service. Coach and mentor future leaders within the function. Lead through change while maintaining employee engagement. Skills & Experience Essential Significant leadership experience in Order-to-Cash, Accounts Receivable, Shared Services, or Finance Operations. Proven success leading O2C transformation within a growing organisation. Strong understanding of end-to-end O2C processes and financial controls. Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer experience and financial performance. Experience implementing ERP and digital transformation initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. The previous Job description was: Job Description We are seeking a Operations Manager to lead an Order to Cash Service . The role will head up a large advisory and transactional delivery team of over 50 FTE’s. A key part of the will be hands on developing best practice, innovation and efficiency, working directly with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and people manager, with good analytical skills, impeccable attention to detail, be self-driven with the ability to build relationships with high level stakeholders. Whilst also cultivating a culture of innovation and adaptability by dismantling institutionalised mindsets and fostering a collaborative environment that embraces technological advancements, within their Team. Essential Skills Experience of a successful leadership within a large customer facing operational team. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, both with client and internal colleagues. Authentic Leader with good inter-personal skills Support continuous improvement activities. Experienced in the management of customer and client escalations, utilising this information to improve the service offering Change Management and the ability to transition staff through complex transformation programmes. Flexible and adaptable to cope with a fast-paced environment in a large organisation. . Experience of budget management. Develop a digital first mindset Key Responsibilities / Accountability Leadership of a Transactional Processing team, focused upon quality of service and achievement of commercial KPI's and SLA's Understanding of department budget, with a strong focus on delivery departmental financial objectives and in year budget challenges Implementation and management of an improved customer services strategy, putting the customer the heart of our delivery The delivery of continuous improvement initiatives to drive customer satisfaction and improvements, developing personal and team skills to the highest standard possible Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation and experimentation Effective client engagement and stakeholder management with a cross range of clients, building outstanding relationships Identifying, supporting and implementing growth opportunities across SSCL Working across team boundaries to build strong working relationships across SSCL Leading the team to improve employee engagement and in turn Great Place to Work Scores. Raise awareness of and manage risks, issues and change in a cost-effective and timely manner.
