VI and Supporter Data Officer Salary: £27,000 per annum Location: Watford (Hybrid) Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full Time – 35 hours per week Benefits Over 7 weeks’ annual leave (inclusive, pro rata where applicable), with the option to buy or sell leave. As our VI and Supporter Data Officer, you’ll play a vital role in making that happen. A bit about the role At Action for Children, our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood. Behind every supporter, donation and fundraising campaigns is accurate, meaningful data that helps us continue delivering vital services to children, young people and families across the country. We’re looking for a VI & Supporter Data Officer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the quality, accuracy and integrity of our supporter data. You’ll help ensure that fundraising income is processed correctly, Gift Aid is administered compliantly, and our teams have the information they need to build strong relationships with our supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes and using their attention to detail to make a real difference. As our VI & Supporter Data Officer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating supporter records within RENXT, ensuring information is accurate, secure and compliant with GDPR and fundraising regulations. You’ll support a range of database and income processing activities, including: Processing Gift Aid declarations and supporting accurate Gift Aid claims in line with HMRC requirements. Maintaining high-quality supporter data through data cleansing, record updates, duplicate management and quality checks. Producing accurate supporter selections and segmentation lists for fundraising campaigns, stewardship activities and communications. Processing fundraising income from platforms such as JustGiving and PayPal, ensuring information is accurately recorded. Working closely with Data Analysts, the Database Manager and fundraising teams to ensure database updates are completed efficiently. Supporting the development and improvement of income processing and supporter data management processes. Producing reports and using data insights to support fundraising activity. About you You’ll be someone who enjoys working with data and has excellent attention to detail. You’ll be confident managing information accurately, working to deadlines and ensuring compliance with data protection requirements. You’ll ideally have: Experience working with supporter databases, CRMs or data management systems. Experience using systems such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, RENXT/LMS or similar CRM platforms (desirable). Experience processing fundraising income or working within a supporter data environment. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data. Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI or similar data visualisation tools (desirable). An understanding of GDPR, Gift Aid and the importance of maintaining accurate records. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
